Canada tasted its first victory of this World Cup when they defeated Kenya by 5 wickets at the Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium in Delhi. Fast bowler Henry Osinde set the match in their favour with his 4 for 26 which was instrumental in Kenya getting bowled out for 198 after winning the toss and electing to bat first.
Skipper Ashish Bagai (64* from 97 balls) and Jimmy Hansara (70 from 99 balls) then got together into a 132-run partnership for the 4th wicket to put Canada in charge. Canada got to victory with 27 balls to spare with Ashish Bagai staying unbeaten right till the end.
